Quick Overview of Foysonis WMS

Welcome to this quick overview and guide of how our cloud-native WMS from Foyonis works. Our design and product design philosophy is to make the configuration and usage of the warehouse management system as simple as possible for users. In this tutorial we will walk through the lifecycle of a pallet as it is received and shipped from a warehouse.

In Order to Receive and Ship a Pallet you need to complete the following steps:

  • Item Creation - Create an Item, that defines what product you are going to receive into the warehouse
  • Receiving Inventory - The steps user need to perform to receive products into the warehouse
  • Order Management - This will walk through the outbound order creation and inventory allocation process to ship out products
  • Picking - We will look at how user performs a picking process to fulfill an order

Item Creation

Let us walk through the steps on how to create a unique identifier for the item in the warehouse. A unique item is the template through which you will track inventory in your warehouse.

  1. Go To "Administration → Items"
  2. Click on the “New Item” button
  3. Enter Item Id : LightSaber & Description : Darth Vader LIGHTSABER Toy – Star Wars
  4. The lowest possible unit of measure for tracking the inventory could be Each. Let’s say we have 10 each per case and each pallet has 5 cases.
  5. Storage Attribute : Regular
  6. Click Save and you should see your item in the data grid
Receiving Inventory

In this short video we will walk through the steps to receive inventory into the warehouse.

  1. Create a New Receipt
  2. Enter that you expect 20 of the LightSaber & Click Save
  3. Now, go to the receipt line and click on “Receive/Putaway” button
  4. Enter a unique ID for “Pallet Id”
  5. Click on “Receive”, at this stage the new inventory is created but not put away to a proper storage location
  6. Next, click on the “Actions” button and select putaway
  7. On the pop-up enter the system suggested location and click the confirm button
  8. Finally, close the receipt to complete the receiving process
  9. Go to Inventory Screen and confirm that the new Pallet is in the warehouse
